Rules To Trade By

It is assumed that you can trade in confidence with the people listed here. These people have completed successful trades and have proven their reliability.

How to get on this list. You must complete a minimum of two successful trades with three different people on this list. Once each trade is complete, the persons already on this list with whom you traded with must contact GTR-WES and report the smooth transaction.

It's not meant to be easy. This list is meant to ease your mind when trading. Things can still happen, but trading with someone from this list should greatly cut down the headaches. Let's hope!

The Good Traders Registry suggests some rules to trade by, and requirements to get on this list. Though these are just suggestions, I feel it will make trading safer for all if we can agree to follow these rules. I highly recommend that you simply state in a trade agreement that >>>

"we have a deal pending reference checks for both parties! I can provide several references from the boards and I am also listed on the GTR! Can you please tell me where to search for some references for you?"

Using this method of approach will never make someone suspect you are guilty of trying to rip them off by asking them to send first! NEVER ask someone to ship first without FIRST asking for references!! The person in question may have been trading for a very long time and could be insulted by your request to ship first. You have to remember, many people aren't aware of the GTR or they are, and they don't want to be on it for various reasons. I strongly urge all users to stay away from asking a person to ship first without at least asking for references first! If you feel the references provided by the other party aren't worthy, then kindly ask them for more or a solution to the trade because you are uncomfortable with shipping at the same time because you have credible references and they don't have any or what they have isn't, or doesn't, seem legitimate to you!!

If you're new to the hobby and/or trading, and you wish to trade with someone on this list, you can send your item first if you wish! However, if you ever feel that you were forced to trade with someone for any reason, please email me and tell me about it! Also, if any GTR member is ever rude to you, makes you feel like a lower class person because you aren't listed, or threatens you in ANY way, please email me with the information. I have had complaints about a select few GTR members acting like they are better then someone who isn't listed! I've also heard that some people asked for favors in exchange for a GTR nomination! I have removed some names and I will continue to remove people who take the values away from why this site was created! I will ALWAYS keep any emails concerning GTR members confidential!!

Always stick to your word when making trade agreements!! Your reputation is golden, only if YOU choose to keep it that way!

Once you're on the list and are trading with another person on the list, both parties send their items at the same time.

If you're on the list, and you are responsible for a bad trade, you will be removed, and will not be reinstated.
